Join Cub Scout Pack 84 for a weekend of camping, boat building, racing, outdoor activities, and campfire fun! Scouts will build and race their boats in our annual Raingutter Regatta.

Campout Checklist for Pack Overnighter

Itinerary:

Saturday, September 19

8:00 a.m. onward — Arrive and Set Up Camp🛬
Dens arrive and set up campsites. Help set up the pack trailer and check supplies. Enjoy boat building, Gaga ball, nature walks, Scout skills, and free time as the schedule allows.

10:00 a.m. — Get Boats Ready⛵
Make final adjustments and check that boats are ready to float and race.

11:00–11:30 a.m. — Lunch Preparation
Lions and Tigers parents help prepare lunch.

11:30 a.m.–Noon — Lunch
Sandwiches, chips, and cookies. Sandwich choices include ham, turkey, salami, and cheese, with white or wheat bread, mayonnaise, and mustard.

12:30–2:00 p.m. — Boat Preparation and Judging
Finish preparing boats for the races. Judges will look for creativity, patriotism, and Cub Scout spirit.

2:00–4:00 p.m. — Raingutter Regatta Races!
Cheer on the Scouts as they race their boats!

4:00–5:00 p.m. — Park Activities and Dinner Preparation🏕️
Enjoy free time at Walter’s Park while dinner is prepared.

5:00–6:30 p.m. — Dinner and Cleanup
Grilled chicken burritos with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes; salad; and cookies. Apple cobbler will also be prepared for the evening.

6:30 p.m. — Get Ready for the Campfire
Campfire preparation, fire-building Scout skills, and skit practice.

6:52 p.m. — Sunset🌄

7:00–9:00 p.m. — Campfire and Evening Snacks🔥
Enjoy the campfire and our “cracker barrel”—a casual snack time during and after the campfire. Snacks include leftovers, chips, cookies, and apple cobbler.

9:00–10:00 p.m. — Evening Reflection and Lights Out
Vespers—a brief evening reflection—followed by lights out.

Sunday, September 20

6:00 a.m. — Wake Up and Begin Packing☕
Coffee and breakfast preparation begin. Keep campsite activity quiet as families start packing up.

6:39 a.m. — Sunrise 🌅

7:00–7:30 a.m. — Grab-and-Go Breakfast
Fruit, cereal, hot cereal, and coffee.

8:00 a.m. — Morning Activities
Enjoy Gaga ball, nature walks, bike riding, and free time.

9:00 a.m. — Nondenominational Service⛪
“A Scout Is Reverent.”

9:30–10:00 a.m. — Final Cleanup and Departure🛫
Everyone helps with a final walk-through to pick up litter before heading home.

Parent Help Needed

Campfire supplies: We need a fire pit and firewood. Contact Chris Nichols if you can help.

Cleanup: All families, please help clean up meals and campsites and join the final litter pickup before departure.

Our pack plans to reserve sites 67,68,71,72; see the map on this page. You can set up your tent anywhere around the large fire pit in the vicinity of these numbered sites.

Join us for a camp-IN inside the Azalea Hills gymnasium! Bring your tent (required) and sleeping mat, but leave the stakes in the bag!
