Pack 84's Leadership Committee has set our annual dues (inclusive of all national, regional, and local dues) for $300 per Scout for the 2026-27 program year, which can be reduced to as low as $200 per Scout:
A $50 discount is applied to each Scout that participates in two Popcorn storefront events.
Additionally, 5% of sales and donations at each event is split among participating Scouts via TroopTrack Scout account, which can be used to pay dues or for event fees.
A $50 discount is applied to each Scout who has a parent who is a registered and fully trained Scouting America leader by December 2026.
Additionally, military families are eligible for a $85 dues waiver through Scouting America national, resulting in total dues as low as $115 total for the year! Contact our pack committee chair for more information.
Dues will be charged to each Scout account on January 1, 2027.
New Pack 84 members joining Fall 2026 must pay $150 of these dues at the time of registration, with the remainder due on Jan 1. This upfront payment is primiarly used to pay required national and council-level fees.
New members joining after Jan 1 pay only $150 upon joining for the remainder of the July-June budget year.
Dues are automatically charged to your household's Scout Account, so if you already have enough funds to cover them through fundraising, there's nothing that needs to be done!
You can make a deposit to your Scout Account to cover your dues.
To pay in-person at a Den meeting, bring cash or a check and talk to our treasurer.
To pay online with a credit or debit card, visit TroopTrack and log in with your account. (To learn about TroopTrack accounts, visit our TroopTrack page.)

Our committee has set the following budget for 2026-27, broken down per Scout:
$85 goes to Scouting America to cover national dues
$45 goes to the Mobile Area Council to cover regional dues
~$55 goes to the cost of advancement regalia (belt loops, badges, neckerchiefs, etc.)
~$70 goes towards pack event costs that we don't recover from per-event fees (Blue and Gold Banquet, Pinewood Derby, etc.)
~$45 goes towards covering registration and training fees for our adult leaders (so there's no extra cost for you to volunteer!)
~$55 goes towards maintenance and our other miscellaneous or incidental costs (Pack trailer maintenance, den meeting supplies, etc.)
This totals around ~$355 per Scout to cover our annual operations costs, or about $17,750 per year for the entire pack!
Thankfully, our Popcorn sales and other fundraisers allow us to reduce these costs so they are not all charged in each Scout's annual dues. Shout outs to all our parents and youth for your support in our annual fundraising initiatives!
Scout families should also budget for the following.
Uniform supplies, available at the Mobile Scout Shop located at 2587 Government Blvd, Mobile, AL 36606.
Per-event fees for each participating Scout and family member. Our leaders work hard to offer about one Outing each month, and to keep each outing's per-person fees as low as possible!
In 2024-25, we were able to charge only $5 or $6 per Scout to recover the cost of food at two of our campouts. Other outings, such as the USS Alabama Battleship lock-in, can have higher per-event fees to cover park admission costs. Learn more at our Outings and Previous Outings pages.
Optional costs including event souvenirs, add-on experiences, and more.
Sorry, all dues are non-refundable.
Absolutely! In addition to the automatic dues discount for participating in our storefront popcorn fundraisers, Scouts who go above and beyond in their fundraising efforts can earn extra cash directly to their Scout Account to pay for dues or pack activities!
An additional $50 discount is applied to Scouts with parents serving as fully trained Adult Leaders. Attend the monthly Committee meeting or ask an Adult Leader to learn more about open leader positions.
In addition, part of our pack's miscellaneous budget goes to cover our Scout Assistance Fund. Our Pack believes that no child should be prevented from experiencing Scouting. If your family needs assistance with dues or other Scout-related fees in order to participate in our Pack, please contact any of our Pack or Den leaders to learn about how you can benefit from this program.
